The Department of Political science is one of the Departments of our college. Prof. S. Nurul Hasan College has established in 1994, in fact, didn’t open the department of political science since that time. Department of Political Science opened in 2001 as a programme course, but it was set up as honours in 2004.Department of Political science is one of the most vital or Fruitfully department in contemporary world. Political science, a subject of analysis with such a dynamic scope and area under discussion, enriched with theories of variant nature, is taught in this institution for a very long time. With strength of 09 faculty members at present, the department offers the subject at both Honours and General level of learning under CBSE pattern of education system, even right-now introduced NEP pattern of education system. Care has been taken even at odd times such as the ongoing Pandemic, that the stipulated portion of syllabus is completed on online basis and study materials are provided in a meticulous manner to help the students prepare their study, safely remaining at home. We have taken special classes for weaker students; we even bring in outside experts to enhance the knowledge of the students during the seminar times. To further create consciousness amongst the students- learners who represent the future of the nation, enough encouragement to participate in Essay- Writing Competitions, Youth Parliament Competitions, Quiz Programms, Extempore Speeches and allied events such as Constitutional Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, DR Ambedkar Jayanti and so no, connected to the discipline, are provided, for the Department takes the unique advantage of the subject related information in this regard.
