About The Department
Prof. S. Nurul Hasan College was established in 1994, and the Department of Arabic began its journey in 2009 with the introduction of the General course. The Honours course in Arabic was introduced in 2016 with an initial intake capacity of 30 students, which has now been expanded to accommodate 50 students.
The Department of Arabic offers comprehensive courses focusing on the Arabic language, literature, and culture. The dedicated faculty members provide the students with in-depth knowledge of the Arabic language, its rich literary tradition, and the diverse cultural practices of Arabic-speaking regions. Students are trained in both oral and written Arabic, along with specialized skills in translation and interpretation, equipping them for various professional and academic opportunities.
