About The Department
The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 2008 with the objective of bringing science stream as a combination with other subjects and to shape outstanding computer known graduates. The Department is continuously trying to upgrade itself with modern facilities for teaching and learning. The Department offers program course and in coming future will try to conduct Major course as per NEP 2020 curriculum. This programme is designed for students seeking to enhance their analytical, logical and quantitative skills in conjunction with primary studies in other disciplines. The class of computer science ensures personalized attention, fostering a deeper understanding of computational concepts and their practical applications. The department aims to equip students with logical thinking and problem solving skills that are essential in the branch of Computer Science. The curriculum designed by the University of Kalyani is intensive and hands-on, with an emphasis on theory and practical that distinguishes from other university colleges.
In addition to the university curriculum the department offers add on course for the programme course students. These courses are designed to provide awareness among students of our day-to-day activities as well as trying to prepare themselves for cracking interview where computer literacy is must.
The course not only makes students computer graduates but integrates their studies in branches like GIS, where a firm fundamental concept is needed.
